About Us

We are the only American Kennel Club (AKC) sanctioned Westie breed club in the greater Atlanta area, and we would really enjoy getting to know you and your furry white companions!

If you have wondered about grooming, flea control, conditioning, health issues, training, showing, nutrition, history of the breed or any other issue, the Westie Club is for you!

If you enjoy meeting new people and sharing photos and stories of your “best friend”, the Westie Club is for you!

If you want to help keep our dogs healthy and safe, the Westie Club is for you!

If you have ever considered breeding your Westie, the Westie Club is for you!

If you want to learn more about showing in conformation or competing in obedience, rally, agility, barn hunt, luring or any other trials or AKC events, the Westie Club is for you!

The history the club goes back over thirty years, promoting the following objectives:

– To encourage and promote quality, responsibility and sportsmanship in the breeding, care, training and exhibition of West Highland White Terriers;

– To promote the dissemination of information concerning West Highland White Terriers, including education of the breed standard as approved by the American Kennel Club;

– To conduct, encourage and promote the holding of specialty shows, competitions, exhibitions, events and sanctioned matches in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of The American Kennel Club:

– To promote and engage in researching the breeding, care and training of the West Highland White Terrier;

– To have and to exercise the powers vested in the Club by the Certificate of Incorporation under the laws of the State of Georgia.

Be a part of protection and preservation of our breed for generations to come. Humans have had canine companions for centuries and breeds have been developed to meet specific needs and services beyond companionship. The West Highland White Terrier is no exception!
